William Crosser

William (Bill) Crosser, 59, of Bassett, Nebraska, a former resident of Chillicothe, MO, left this Earth for his Heavenly Home, after a long battle with cancer, on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Rock County Hospital in Bassett.
William Henry Crosser was born April 30, 1954 in Box Butte County, Alliance, Nebraska the son of Eugene Crosser and Dorothy Walker Crosser.
Bill was a truck driver for thirty-nine years logging over four million miles driven. Over the years, he also worked for several ranchers in the Nebraska Sandhills. He also worked for a biogenetic company performing embryo transplants in cattle, traveling across the United States with his dog, Daisy and his horse, Sally which held a special place in his heart.
Bill was always ready with a helping hand, never hesitating to give away his last dollar to help his family or anyone else in need.
He is survived by two sons, Brandon Crosser and wife Sara of Kansas City MO, and Logan Crosser of Bassett NE; one daughter, Sarah Crosser of Chillicothe MO; five sisters, Beverly Fugate of Chillicothe, Barbara Maberry and husband Richard of Chillicothe, Becky Norris and husband Richard of Chillicothe, Donna Peeper and husband Dave of Springfield MO, Debbie Reed and husband Steve of Sedalia MO; three brothers, Brian Crosser and wife Patty of Meadville MO, Bobbie Crosser and wife Patty of Chillicothe, Donny Hatfield and wife Kaylene of Chillicothe; many nieces and nephews, one aunt and several cousins.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy (Walker) Hatfield and Eugene Crosser; and two sisters, Bonnie Pelly and Betty Bartholmey.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations, in honor of Bill Crosser, be made to Heritage Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Heritage Funeral Home.
Another funeral service will be held at a later date in Bassett NE.
